The Coalition Supports the Launch of a New Violence Response Team

The Coalition has been helpful in the development of a new hospital-based intervention program. Lifebridge Health’s Center for Hope is launching a Violence Response Team (VRT) at Grace Medical Center, formerly Bon Secours Hospital in West Baltimore. The VRT Manager Colleen Moore (who has been involved with the Coalition for many years) is in the process of developing a caring and effective response to patients who are identified as being victims of domestic violence, community violence, sexual assault, elder abuse and human trafficking. The vision is to improve the wellbeing, health, and opportunities of victims of violence in the community by providing crisis intervention, extended support, and referrals through empowering partnerships with relatable VRT staff; ultimately working toward healing individuals, solidifying families and uplifting communities. Coalition materials and guidance have been very instrumental in formulating policies, protocols, forms, and outreach materials.
