The Coalition Responds to the Baltimore Sun

The Coalition’s President, Karalyn Mulligan, and Training and Outreach Specialist, Lauren Dougherty, respond to an article written in the Baltimore Sun about the rising intimate partner violence rates of quarantined survivors during COVID-19. Mulligan and Dougherty discuss the ways medical abuse can be exacerbated in a global pandemic, highlight the importance of health care centers and hospitals as a place of refuge for survivors of abuse, and urge health care professionals to learn more about their local domestic violence resources.
