Join the Maryland Health Care Coalition Against Domestic Violence as the Maryland Network Against Domestic Violence presents this seminar designed for advocates and health care providers seeking to better support survivors of intimate partner violence. This session will equip participants with practical tools and strategies to address reproductive coercion and meet the needs of survivors navigating complex reproductive justice challenges.
Through interactive discussions, attendees will:
- Understand the history of the reproductive justice movement
- Explore the intersections of intimate partner violence and reproductive justice.
- Learn to identify and address reproductive coercion in clinical and advocacy settings.
- Gain actionable strategies to support survivors’ access to reproductive health care, including trauma-informed prenatal and postnatal care, contraception, and abortion services. –Understand how systemic inequalities impact survivors’ reproductive choices and well-being.
This seminar is open to health care professionals, domestic violence and sexual assault advocates, and other allied service providers.
