The Maryland Health Care Coalition Against Domestic Violence brings to you Part Two of the “Health, IPV, and Guns Seminar Series,” presented by Baltimore County Moms Demand Action and the Maryland Network Against Domestic Violence. Join for Part Two of the series as health care practitioners, domestic violence advocates, and allied professionals will learn about safety options for intimate partner violence survivors facing the threat of gun violence in their relationships. A gun violence and abuse survivor will tell her story and safe gun storage information will be provided through the Be Smart program. Experts from the Maryland Network Against Domestic Violence will explain how protective orders can be obtained in a hospital setting and discuss additional safety planning options.
Social Work CEU’s will be provided for this event. The Maryland Health Care Coalition Against Domestic Violence is authorized by the Board of Social Work Examiners in Maryland to sponsor social work continuing education programs and maintains full responsibility for this program. This training qualifies for 2 Category I continuing education units.
