Please join the Maryland Health Care Coalition Against Domestic Violence for a seminar presented by Rachel Ramirez, MA, MSW, LISW-S, RASS, is the Director of Health and Disability Programs and the Founder of The Center on Partner-Inflicted Brain Injury at The Ohio Domestic Violence Network (ODVN).
Domestic violence victims experience terrible and traumatic physical violence—often directed at the head, neck and face—through blows to the head or strangulation. We are just beginning to recognize that this violence can cause brain injuries that impact every area of a person’s life– including their ability to successfully access and participate in your agency’s services. Come to learn more about what we learned in Ohio and how to use CARE, an evidence-based framework with free, practical tools to help you raise awareness on brain injury as a significant, long lasting consequence of domestic violence.
Social Work CEU’s will be offered for this event. Check out the event’s registration page to learn more about the seminar.
